Do you have experience in proteomics? You should then read the following lines! Our client, based in Basel, is looking for a Scientist in Proteomics for a 1 year contract. Your Tasks: ? Organize and conduct proteomics analysis in collaboration with stakeholders from the different therapeutic areas and functions ? Plan and discuss the experimental strategy with the stakeholders, team members, and data scientists ? Provide training to the stakeholders in order to execute sample preparation, LC-MS acquisition and processing of the data ? Maintain a cutting-edge platform of LC-MS instrumentation and automated sample preparation devices ? Lead the development, and optimization of new innovative methods to analyze proteins by mass spectrometry when needed by the projects Your Profile: ? A minimum of 5 years experience in proteomics in an academic/industrial environment ? Hands-on expertise in nano liquid chromatography - mass-spectrometry based proteomics is mandatory (documented by publication in a peer-reviewed journal). Experience with Orbitrap MS (Q Exactive, Exploris, and/or Tribrids) is essential, and ion mobility (timsTOF Pro, FAIMS Pro) systems is an advantage, knowledge of Bravo liquid handler is a plus ? Expertise in quantitative proteomics approaches such as TMT, SILAC, acquisition strategies such as data-independant and -dependant acquisition (DIA, DDA), and targeted approaches such as parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) is a must ? Proficient with common data processing softwares (Proteome Discoverer, MaxQuant, Spectronaut, PEAKS). Programming (e.g. R/Python) skills are a big plus ? You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English ? Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology or a related field and additional postdoc experience ?
